D.A.V. College of Education, Hoshiarpur celebrated 74th Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and fervour. Member Management Dr. Arvind Kumar graced the occasion as worthy chief guest. Joint Secretary Sh. Sharanjit Saini, Sh. Y.P. Joshi, Sh. Gautam Mehta, Sh. Subhash Gandhi, Director Dr. S.S. Sharma, Principal A.P. Singh, Principal Rajesh Malhotra and Faculty Members of both the schools also graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.
Worthy Chief Guest Dr. Arvind Kumar unfurled the National Flag followed by National Anthem. Further, the cultural programme was started with lamp lightening. Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla formally welcome the Worthy Chief Guest and extended heartfelt greetings to all. She further emphasized on the major achievements of the college and added as a true citizen of the country, our responsibility is to work towards the development of the country and protect our land as true patriots. Students presented dance on patriotic song ‘Ye Dharti Hai Balidano Ki’ and students of B.Ed. College sang a patriotic song ‘Ye Vatan Tere Liye’.
In his presidential address, Worthy Chief Guest first congratulated the faculty members and students on this special occasion and highlighted the significance of the day. On this great day, Worthy Chief Guest and Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla also felicitated the topper students who secured top positions at university level.
